काशीप्रवृत्तिमन्वेष्टुं कं वा प्रहिणुयामितः । ज्ञातुं क एव निपुणो यतः स चतुराननः
kāśīpravṛttimanveṣṭuṃ kaṃ vā prahiṇuyāmitaḥ | jñātuṃ ka eva nipuṇo yataḥ sa caturānanaḥ
„Wen soll ich von hier entsenden, um den wahren Gang der Dinge in Kāśī zu erkunden? Wer ist wahrhaft kundig, es zu erkennen?—denn er ist Caturānana, der viergesichtige Brahmā.“
