पवित्रपर्वणि सदा श्रावणे मासि यत्नतः । लिंगे पवित्रमारोप्य महादेवे न गर्भभाक्

Transliteration

pavitraparvaṇi sadā śrāvaṇe māsi yatnataḥ | liṃge pavitramāropya mahādeve na garbhabhāk

Translation

Am heiligen Pavitraparvan, besonders im Monat Śrāvaṇa, soll man sorgfältig den „pavitra“-Faden bzw. die Girlande auf den Liṅga legen; wer dies Mahādeva darbringt, geht nicht wieder in den Schoß ein (wird vom Wiedergeburtkreislauf befreit).
