Transliteration

gajāsura uvāca | triśūlapāṇe deveśa jāne tvāṃ smarahāriṇam | tava haste mama vadhaḥ śreyāneva purāṃtaka

Translation

Gajāsura sprach: „O Herr der Götter, Träger des Trishula, ich kenne dich als den Vernichter Smaras (Kāma). Von deiner eigenen Hand getötet zu werden, ist wahrlich ein segensreiches Los für mich, o Zerstörer der Dreifachen Stadt.“
