Type: kshetra
Listener: Jaigīṣavya
Scene: Śiva bestows a palm-leaf manuscript or luminous teaching-stream upon Jaigīṣavya; the sage receives it reverently, signifying authorization as yoga-preceptor.
True Yoga is oriented to liberation, and spiritual authority is framed as service—guiding others on the path.
Within Kāśīkhaṇḍa, Kāśī is the implied sacred landscape where Śiva imparts liberating knowledge.
The verse emphasizes transmission of yogic doctrine rather than an external ritual; it points to disciplined yogic practice aimed at mokṣa.
