Transliteration

pāpāṃdhakārasaṃkruddhaḥ kārtike dīpadānataḥ | krodhāṃdhakāritamukhaṃ bhāskariṃ sa na vīkṣate

Translation

Wer von der Finsternis der Sünde umdrängt ist, sieht durch das Darbringen von Lichtern im Kārtika den Sonnengott nicht mehr, dessen Antlitz von der Dunkelheit des Zorns verhüllt ist.
