Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 92

न मनुष्यस्तुतिं कुर्यान्नात्मानमपमानयेत् । अभ्युद्यतं न प्रणुदेत्परमर्माणि नोच्चरेत्

na manuṣyastutiṃ kuryānnātmānamapamānayet | abhyudyataṃ na praṇudetparamarmāṇi noccaret

Man soll sich nicht dem Lob (weltlicher) Menschen hingeben und sich selbst nicht erniedrigen. Man soll niemanden zurückweisen, der ehrerbietig herantritt, und nicht die verwundbaren Geheimnisse eines anderen aussprechen.
