निष्ठीवनं च श्लेष्माणं गृहाद्दूरं विनिक्षिपेत् । अहर्निशं श्रुतेर्जाप्याच्छौचाचारनिषेवणात् । अद्रोहवत्या बुद्ध्या च पूर्वं जन्म स्मरेद्द्विजः

niṣṭhīvanaṃ ca śleṣmāṇaṃ gṛhāddūraṃ vinikṣipet | aharniśaṃ śruterjāpyācchaucācāraniṣevaṇāt | adrohavatyā buddhyā ca pūrvaṃ janma smareddvijaḥ

Speichel und Schleim werfe man weit weg vom Haus. Tag und Nacht, durch Rezitation der vedischen Überlieferung, durch Übung von Reinheit und rechter Lebensführung und mit einem Geist ohne Feindseligkeit, kann der Zweimalgeborene frühere Geburten erinnern.
