Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 10

त्यक्त्वा पुत्रकलत्रादि सच्छूद्रा न्यायमार्गगाः । निर्वाणप्राप्तये चैनां भजेयुर्मणिकर्णिकाम्

tyaktvā putrakalatrādi sacchūdrā nyāyamārgagāḥ | nirvāṇaprāptaye caināṃ bhajeyurmaṇikarṇikām

Auch die guten Śūdras, die den Pfad der Rechtschaffenheit gehen, sollen—nachdem sie die Anhaftung an Söhne, Gattin und alles Übrige aufgegeben haben—Maṇikarṇikā verehren und bei ihr Zuflucht suchen, um Nirvāṇa zu erlangen.
