व्योमांगणमनर्कं च नक्तेऽदीपं यथा गृहम । अवेदा ब्राह्मणा यद्वद्गंगाहीनास्तथा दिशः
vyomāṃgaṇamanarkaṃ ca nakte'dīpaṃ yathā gṛhama | avedā brāhmaṇā yadvadgaṃgāhīnāstathā diśaḥ
Wie der Himmel ohne Sonne öde ist, wie ein Haus in der Nacht ohne Lampe nutzlos ist, und wie Brahmanen ohne den Veda ihre wahre Würde verlieren—so verarmen die Himmelsrichtungen, wenn sie ohne die Gaṅgā sind.
