धनैरनंधो यत्रास्ति मनो नैव च भोजनम् । अनयः स्यंदनं यत्र न च वै राजपूरुषः
dhanairanaṃdho yatrāsti mano naiva ca bhojanam | anayaḥ syaṃdanaṃ yatra na ca vai rājapūruṣaḥ
Als ungerecht gilt jenes Land, wo Reichtum den Menschen ‘sehend’ macht und alles nach Geld bemessen wird, und wo der Geist selbst an Speise keine wahre Genüge findet; wo Unrecht zum Wagen wird, der das Leben voranträgt, und keine rechtschaffene königliche Autorität besteht.
