Skanda Purana — Kashi Khanda, Shloka 6

पलायमानो निहतः क्षणात्पंचत्वमागतः । अभक्षयच्च नैवेद्यं भाविपुण्यबलान्न सः

palāyamāno nihataḥ kṣaṇātpaṃcatvamāgataḥ | abhakṣayacca naivedyaṃ bhāvipuṇyabalānna saḥ

Auf der Flucht wurde er getroffen und fand im selben Augenblick den Tod. Doch durch die Kraft des Verdienstes, das ihm künftig erwachsen sollte, nahm er das dargebrachte Naivedya nicht zu sich.
