caṃḍakopastato devīṃ khaḍgacarmadharo'bhyagāt | khaḍgena siṃhamājaghne devyā vāhaṃ mahāsuraḥ
Daraufhin rückte Caṇḍakopa, Schwert und Schild tragend, auf die Göttin zu. Mit dem Schwert schlug der große Asura den Löwen, das Reittier der Devī.
