FAQs

A tīrtha becomes supremely meritorious through divine sanctification; sacred geography preserves that grace through name and remembrance.

Amṛta-tīrtha, identified with the Dharmapuṣkariṇī (a sacred tank) in the Setukhaṇḍa context.

The verse implies the sanctity of the tīrtha and supports tīrtha-snānā (ritual bathing), though the explicit injunction appears in subsequent verses.
