महिषासुरमायांतं नखैरेनं व्यदारयत् । चंडिकापि ततः क्रुद्धा वधे तस्याकरोन्मतिम्
mahiṣāsuramāyāṃtaṃ nakhairenaṃ vyadārayat | caṃḍikāpi tataḥ kruddhā vadhe tasyākaronmatim
Als Mahiṣāsura heranstürmte, zerriss ihn der Löwe mit seinen Klauen. Da fasste auch Caṇḍikā, vom Zorn entbrannt, den Entschluss, ihn zu töten.
