वृथाजीवित एवासाविहामुत्र च दुःखभाक् । हनूमत्कुंडसविधे येन दत्तं तिलोदकम् । मोदंते पितरस्तस्य घृतकुल्याः पिबंति च

Transliteration

vṛthājīvita evāsāvihāmutra ca duḥkhabhāk | hanūmatkuṃḍasavidhe yena dattaṃ tilodakam | modaṃte pitarastasya ghṛtakulyāḥ pibaṃti ca

Translation

Wahrlich, sein Leben ist vergeudet, und er wird des Leids teilhaftig — hier wie im Jenseits —, wenn er nahe bei Hanūmat-kuṇḍa den Ahnen kein tilodaka (Wasser mit Sesam) dargebracht hat. Wird es jedoch dargebracht, so freuen sich seine Pitṛs und trinken Ströme von Ghee, in reicher Sättigung.
