श्रीसूत उवाच । वक्ष्यामि राक्षसं क्रूरं तं विप्राः शृणुतादरात् । यथा स राक्षसो जातो मुनीनां शापवैभवात्
śrīsūta uvāca | vakṣyāmi rākṣasaṃ krūraṃ taṃ viprāḥ śṛṇutādarāt | yathā sa rākṣaso jāto munīnāṃ śāpavaibhavāt
Śrī Sūta sprach: „Ich werde jenen grausamen Rākṣasa schildern. O Brāhmaṇas, hört mit Ehrfurcht: wie dieser Rākṣasa durch die machtvolle Kraft des Fluches der Weisen entstand.“
