इत्युक्त्वा ता स्त्रियः प्राह वसिष्ठो मुनिपुंगवः । यस्मादाच्छादितं वस्त्रं दृष्ट्वास्मांल्ललनोत्तमाः
ityuktvā tā striyaḥ prāha vasiṣṭho munipuṃgavaḥ | yasmādācchāditaṃ vastraṃ dṛṣṭvāsmāṃllalanottamāḥ
Nachdem er so gesprochen hatte, wandte sich Vasiṣṭha, der Vortrefflichste unter den Weisen, an jene Frauen: „Weil ihr, o edelste Frauen, als ihr uns saht, eure Gewänder bedeckt habt …“
