व्यास उवाच । ज्ञायंते यत्रयत्रस्था माध्यंदिनीया महाबलाः । कौथमीं च समाश्रित्य केचिद्विप्रा गुणान्विताः
vyāsa uvāca | jñāyaṃte yatrayatrasthā mādhyaṃdinīyā mahābalāḥ | kauthamīṃ ca samāśritya kecidviprā guṇānvitāḥ
Vyāsa sprach: Die mächtigen Mādhyaṃdinas werden erkannt, wo immer sie wohnen. Und indem sie auch die Kauthumī-Tradition als Zuflucht nehmen, finden sich einige Brāhmaṇas, mit Tugenden ausgestattet.
