Tirtha: Viśveśvara Mahāliṅga (as instituted here)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Yama (and implicitly the assembled devas)
Scene: Śiva proclaims the establishment of a great liṅga named Viśveśvara at that spot; immediately after speaking, he vanishes (antaradhāna), leaving the decree resonating in the sacred space.
A kṣetra is anchored by a nāma-rūpa of Śiva; naming the liṅga establishes an enduring focus for devotion and merit.
Dharmāraṇya is the implied setting where the Viśveśvara Mahāliṅga is proclaimed to arise.
Implicitly, worship of the named liṅga is indicated as the kṣetra’s central practice, though details come later.
