Transliteration

rāmeṇa tumule yuddhe rāvaṇo drāvito raṇāt | pañcamyā aṣṭamī yāvadrāvaṇena prabodhitaḥ

Translation

In der tobenden Schlacht wurde Rāvaṇa von Rāma vom Kampfplatz zurückgedrängt. Von der fünften bis zur achten Tithi wurde er durch Rāvaṇa erneut aufgerüttelt und zum Kampf angespornt.
