indra uvāca | yadi tuṣṭosi deveśa kṛpāsiṃdho maheśvara | brahmahatyā hi māṃ deva udvejayati nityaśaḥ
Indra sprach: „Wenn du mit mir zufrieden bist, o Herr der Götter, o Mahēśvara—Ozean des Erbarmens—, so wisse, o Gott: Die Sünde der Brahmahatyā (Brahmanenmord) quält mich unablässig.“
Indra
Tirtha: Dharmāraṇya
Type: kshetra
Scene: Indra, troubled and humbled, speaks with folded hands; his face shows anxiety and remorse; Śiva listens with steady compassion in a forest-kshetra setting.
Even the mighty are bound by karma; confession and seeking refuge in the Lord is the beginning of purification.
Dharmāraṇya, where Indra approaches Śiva for release from Brahmahatyā.
Not yet; the request sets up the later instruction connected to entering Dharmāraṇya and performing sacred bathing.
