भोभो मामा कृथाः पापं सूर्यवंशयशोधर । मदयंतीपतिस्त्वं हि राजेंद्रो न तु राक्षसः
bhobho māmā kṛthāḥ pāpaṃ sūryavaṃśayaśodhara | madayaṃtīpatistvaṃ hi rājeṃdro na tu rākṣasaḥ
«Weh, weh—begeh nicht diese Sünde, o Träger des Ruhmes der Sonnendynastie! Du bist wahrlich Madayantīs Gemahl, ein Herr unter Königen, nicht ein Rākṣasa.»
