Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 64

तव भावपरीक्षार्थं द्विजो भूत्वाहमागतः । व्याघ्रेण या परिग्रस्ता सैषा दैवी गिरींद्रजा

tava bhāvaparīkṣārthaṃ dvijo bhūtvāhamāgataḥ | vyāghreṇa yā parigrastā saiṣā daivī girīṃdrajā

Um die Aufrichtigkeit deines inneren Sinnes zu prüfen, kam ich hierher, indem ich die Gestalt eines Brāhmaṇa annahm. Und die „Prinzessin, Tochter des Herrn der Berge“, die vom Tiger gepackt zu sein schien, war wahrhaft eine göttliche Offenbarung.
