अवेदविदुषे नैव ब्राह्मणे सर्वविक्रये । मित्रघ्ने च कृतघ्ने च मन्त्रहीने तथैव च
avedaviduṣe naiva brāhmaṇe sarvavikraye | mitraghne ca kṛtaghne ca mantrahīne tathaiva ca
Auch soll man sie nicht einem Brāhmaṇa geben, der die Veden nicht kennt, noch einem, der alles um des Gewinns willen verkauft; nicht dem, der einen Freund tötet, nicht dem Undankbaren; ebenso wenig dem, der ohne Mantra ist, untauglich für vedische Rezitation und Ritus.
