ब्रह्महत्यान्वितः कण्वो निस्तेजा व्यचरन्महीम् । व्यचरंश्चैव सम्प्राप्तो नर्मदामुरिसंगमे
brahmahatyānvitaḥ kaṇvo nistejā vyacaranmahīm | vyacaraṃścaiva samprāpto narmadāmurisaṃgame
Vom Makel der Brahmanentötung (Brahmahatyā) behaftet, wanderte Kaṇva, seines Glanzes beraubt, über die Erde; und auf seinem Umherziehen gelangte er zur Narmadā, bei Urisaṅgama.
