Tirtha: Revā-tīrtha (contextual; ‘that tīrtha’)
Type: ghat
Scene: A serene deathbed on a riverbank tīrtha: the disciplined pilgrim’s prāṇa departs; celestial attendants guide him to Varuṇa’s luminous city with oceanic motifs; time stretches to pralaya.
A pure, disciplined life culminating at a sacred place is said to grant exalted posthumous states.
The same tīrtha of Varuṇeśvara referenced in this Adhyāya.
No new rite is prescribed here; it declares the after-death fruit for bhāvita-ātmans connected with the tīrtha.
