tataḥ piturmatenaiva gaṅgātīraṃ gatā satī | avagāhya taṭe dve tu gaṅgāyāḥ sa narādhipa
Daraufhin ging die tugendhafte Frau, einzig dem Rat ihres Vaters folgend, an das Ufer der Gaṅgā. Nachdem sie zur reinigenden Waschung in den Strom eingetaucht war, verweilte sie an den beiden Ufern der Gaṅgā, o König unter den Menschen.
