चित्रसेन उवाच । विज्ञापयामि विप्रर्षे क्षन्तव्यं ते ममोपरि । नाहं विप्रोऽस्मि वै तात न वैश्यो न च शूद्रजः
citrasena uvāca | vijñāpayāmi viprarṣe kṣantavyaṃ te mamopari | nāhaṃ vipro'smi vai tāta na vaiśyo na ca śūdrajaḥ
Citrasena sprach: „O brahmanischer Weiser, ich trage es dir vor — vergib mir. Wahrlich, Herr, ich bin weder Brahmane noch Vaishya, noch aus einem Shudra geboren.“
