ईश्वर उवाच । यदि दास्ये वरं देवि इच्छाभूतं कदाचन । ततो न मंस्यते विष्णुं न ब्रह्माणं न मामपि
īśvara uvāca | yadi dāsye varaṃ devi icchābhūtaṃ kadācana | tato na maṃsyate viṣṇuṃ na brahmāṇaṃ na māmapi
Īśvara sprach: „O Göttin, wenn ich ihm je einen Segen gewähre, der bloß seinem Verlangen folgt, dann wird er danach weder Viṣṇu noch Brahmā noch sogar mich achten.“
