तेनोक्ताः स्वसुतां चेत्तु राजा मे दातुमिच्छति । ततोऽस्य भूयोऽपि गृहे ज्वलेऽहं नान्यथा द्विजाः
tenoktāḥ svasutāṃ cettu rājā me dātumicchati | tato'sya bhūyo'pi gṛhe jvale'haṃ nānyathā dvijāḥ
Er sprach zu ihnen: „Wenn der König mir wahrhaftig seine eigene Tochter geben will, dann werde ich wieder in seinem Hause lodern – andernfalls nicht, o Brāhmaṇas.“
