एवमुक्त्वा महाभागो बाणो भक्तिमतां वरः । स्तोत्रेण देवदेवेशं छन्दयामास भारत

evamuktvā mahābhāgo bāṇo bhaktimatāṃ varaḥ | stotreṇa devadeveśaṃ chandayāmāsa bhārata

So sprechend begann der glückselige Bāṇa—der Vornehmste unter den Frommen—o Bhārata, den Herrn der Götter mit einem Hymnus zu erfreuen und zu besänftigen.
