Transliteration

tena vai sutapastaptaṃ daśavarṣaśatāni hi | tasya tuṣṭo'bhavadbrahmā niyamena damena ca

Translation

Er übte strenge Askese volle tausend Jahre lang. Durch seine Gelübde, Zucht und Selbstbeherrschung wurde Brahmā zufrieden mit ihm.
