Narrator
Tirtha: Revā–Sāgara Saṅgama
Type: sangam
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira
Scene: Śiva manifests before the ascetic at the confluence—matted hair, crescent moon, gaṅgā motif, trident—while Pārvatī stands beside him, gently urging compassion; the ascetic bows, radiant with purification.
Devotion expressed through meditation and worship, when joined with sincere austerity, draws divine compassion.
The Revā Khaṇḍa setting implies the sanctity of the Revā/Narmadā region, while the verse highlights Śiva-bhakti practices.
Śiva-dhyāna (meditation on Śiva) and arcana (ritual worship) are mentioned as means toward purification.
