Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya (to Yudhiṣṭhira)
Tirtha: Loṭaṇeśvara
Type: kshetra
Scene: A reciter chanting the māhātmya before a small assembly; sound-waves depicted as luminous syllables rising toward a Śiva-like celestial realm (Rudra-loka).
Śravaṇa (devout listening) to tīrtha-māhātmya is itself a salvific practice, purifying sin and orienting the soul toward Rudra.
The Loṭaṇeśvara tīrtha narrative as a whole; the verse functions as its concluding phalaśruti.
Hearing the recitation (śravaṇa) of the auspicious māhātmya with bhakti.
