Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 98

भूतेभ्यस्तु बलिं दद्यादृत्विग्भिः सह देशिकः । ततः प्रदक्षिणीकृत्य तुलामित्यभिमन्त्रयेत्

bhūtebhyastu baliṃ dadyādṛtvigbhiḥ saha deśikaḥ | tataḥ pradakṣiṇīkṛtya tulāmityabhimantrayet

Dann soll der vorstehende Lehrer zusammen mit den Ritualpriestern den Elementwesen ein Bali-Opfer darbringen. Nachdem er die Umrundung vollzogen hat, soll er die Waage weihen, indem er das Mantra rezitiert, das mit «O Tulā…» beginnt.
