Type: kshetra
Listener: Audience within the kathā frame
Scene: A group of sages speak solemnly to Śāṇḍilī; the horizon shows the first light of dawn. The woman’s face shifts from resolve to shock and grief as the prophecy of her husband’s death is spoken.
Life’s fragility is underscored; dharma includes sensitivity to others’ suffering and the urgency of righteous action.
No specific tīrtha is named in this verse; it functions as a dramatic revelation within the Revā Khaṇḍa setting.
None directly; the verse is a prophetic warning.
