bhūmergandhaṃ tathā ghrāṇaṃ gauravaṃ mūrtimeva ca | ātmā gṛhṇātyajaḥ pūrvaṃ tṛtīye spandate ca saḥ
Aus bhūmi (Erde) kommen Duft und der Geruchssinn, Schwere und feste Gestalt. Das ungeborene Selbst (Ātman) nimmt dies zuerst an, und im dritten Monat beginnt es auch zu pochen und sich zu regen.
