Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 22

गन्धपुष्पादिधूपैश्च सोऽश्वमेधफलं लभेत् । मासोपवासं यः कुर्यात्तत्र तीर्थे नरेश्वर

gandhapuṣpādidhūpaiśca so'śvamedhaphalaṃ labhet | māsopavāsaṃ yaḥ kuryāttatra tīrthe nareśvara

Und mit Düften, Blumen und Weihrauch erlangt er die Frucht des Aśvamedha-Opfers. O König, wer dort an jenem Tīrtha ein einmonatiges Fasten vollzieht, gewinnt solches Verdienst.
