Brahmā and the gods (collective supplication, within Mārkaṇḍeya’s narration)
Tirtha: Kailāsa
Type: peak
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira
Scene: The gods, solemn and resolute, petition Śiva: ‘Dissolve the universe—gods, asuras, humans—time has reached the end of a thousand yugas.’ Śiva stands unmoved, embodying cosmic authority.
Śiva is acknowledged as the sovereign of cosmic cycles; surrender to divine order is dharma when time ripens for change.
No single earthly tīrtha is named; the verse is set in Kailāsa-centered divine geography.
None; it is a supplication describing the appointed cosmic time for dissolution.
