तत्र तीर्थे हि यत्किंचिद्दीयते नृपसत्तम । तदक्षयफलं सर्वं जायते नात्र संशयः
tatra tīrthe hi yatkiṃciddīyate nṛpasattama | tadakṣayaphalaṃ sarvaṃ jāyate nātra saṃśayaḥ
O Bester der Könige, was immer an jener Tīrtha gegeben wird, bringt in jeder Hinsicht unvergängliche Frucht hervor — daran besteht kein Zweifel.
Mārkaṇḍeya
Tirtha: Karmadī Tīrtha
Type: ghat
Listener: Nṛpasattama (best of kings)
Scene: At the river-ghāṭa, a king or pilgrim offers gifts to brāhmaṇas and the needy before a Gaṇeśa shrine; the merit is shown as an unending stream of light or an inexhaustible vessel (akṣaya-pātra motif).
Charity performed at a sanctified place is amplified, becoming ‘akṣaya’—a lasting, non-diminishing merit.
Karmadī Tīrtha in the Revākhaṇḍa (Adhyāya 123).
Dāna (giving/charity) at the tīrtha, with emphasis that any offering there becomes imperishable in merit.
