Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 5

एवं युक्तस्तु यस्तत्र पापं कृत्वा सुदारुणम् । स्नात्वा जप्त्वा विधानेन मुच्यते सर्वपातकैः

evaṃ yuktastu yastatra pāpaṃ kṛtvā sudāruṇam | snātvā japtvā vidhānena mucyate sarvapātakaiḥ

So wird, wer dort in rechter Zucht steht, selbst wenn er eine äußerst schreckliche Sünde begangen hat, durch Bad und Japa nach vorgeschriebener Ordnung von allen Verfehlungen und Sünden befreit.
