ततस्तस्यामतीतायां सन्ध्यायां नृपसत्तम । शेषं मानुष्यमेकं तु काले वर्षशतं स्थितम्
tatastasyāmatītāyāṃ sandhyāyāṃ nṛpasattama | śeṣaṃ mānuṣyamekaṃ tu kāle varṣaśataṃ sthitam
Dann, o bester der Könige, als jene dämmerhafte Zwischenzeit vergangen war, blieb nur noch eine einzige menschliche Spanne; doch im Lauf der Zeit währte sie hundert Jahre.
