दे॒वासो॒ हि ष्मा॒ मन॑वे॒ सम॑न्यवो॒ विश्वे॑ सा॒कᳪ सरा॑तयः । ते नो॑ अ॒द्य ते अ॑प॒रं तु॒चे तु नो॒ भव॑न्तु वरिवो॒विद॑:

devā́so hí ṣmā́ mánave sámanyavo víśve sā́kaṃ sárātayaḥ | té no adyá té aparáṃ tucé tu no bhávantu várivo-vidaḥ

Denn die Götter waren wahrlich dem Manu einmütig — alle zusammen, Helfer und Retter. Mögen sie heute und auch danach die Unsrigen sein, zu unserem Schutz; ja, mögen sie uns Weite, freien Raum (varivas) verschaffen.
