Transliteration deváṃ bárhir índraṃ sudeváṃ deváir vīrávat stīrṇáṃ vedyā́m avardhayat | vástor vṛtáṃ prāktór bhṛtáṃ rāyā́ barhiṣmáto ’ty agād vasuváne vasudhেয়asya vetu yája
Translation Das göttliche Barhis, für Indra, den wohlgestalteten Gott, auf der Vedi ausgebreitet, mit den Göttern, mit heldenhaften Männern, ist gewachsen. Umhegt ist die Wohnstatt; getragen ist der Vorderteil; der Barhis‑Besitzer ist, reich an Gut, darüber hinausgegangen: im Gewinnen von Gütern, im Erlangen des Schatzes — möge es das Ziel erreichen.
