Rudrākṣa Māhātmya — The Greatness of Rudraksha
Daran besteht kein Zweifel.
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
The verse praises sacred dhāraṇā (wearing a Shaiva sacred support, traditionally Rudrākṣa) as a purifier: through Shiva-connected observance, even heavy karmic burdens are said to be cut, and the devotee gains auspicious, divine qualities symbolized by Kārtikeya’s six-faced splendor.
Such dhāraṇā is a Saguna-Shiva aid: it externalizes devotion and keeps the mind anchored in Shiva’s presence, supporting regular worship of the Liṅga and remembrance of Shiva’s grace as the remover of pāśa (bondage).
Wear the sacred Shaiva item (commonly Rudrākṣa) on the right arm as a vow of devotion, and sustain daily Shiva-smaraṇa—ideally with the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—as an inner complement to the outer observance.
