yathā devīṣu sarvāsu śaivīśaktiḥ parāsmṛtā | tathā sarveṣu liṃgeṣu pārthivaṃ śreṣṭhamucyate

Wie unter allen Göttinnen die Śaiva-Śakti als die höchste gilt, so wird unter allen Formen des Liṅga der erdene (pārthiva) Liṅga als der vortrefflichste, श्रेष्ठ, verkündet.
