Śiva’s Freedom from Bondage and His Cosmic Support

Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Sthala Purana: Not a site-legend; it articulates the liberated condition where karma and its vipāka do not bind—an anugraha-fruit theme.
Significance: Encourages pilgrims to cultivate non-clinging (abhiniveśa-śūnyatā) through Śiva-bhakti and right knowledge, weakening karmic bondage.
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
It teaches the mark of a liberated or Shiva-centered yogin: absence of abhiniveśa (clinging). When devotion and knowledge mature under Shiva’s grace, karma and its fruits no longer generate bondage, even if experiences of pleasure and pain still appear.
Linga/Saguna Shiva worship trains the mind to surrender results (karma-phala) to Shiva. Through steady puja, japa, and contemplation of Shiva as Pati (the Lord), the devotee’s identification loosens, and actions cease to bind—matching the verse’s description.
Practice offering all actions and their results to Shiva through daily Panchakshara japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and meditation on non-attachment; maintain a steady, even mind toward sukha-duḥkha while grounding devotion with simple Shiva-puja (optionally with bhasma and rudraksha).
