Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: Not a site-legend; it summarizes the phala (fruits) of proper Śaiva reception: worldly well-being (trivarga) culminating in nirvāṇa.
Significance: Frames Purāṇic śravaṇa/pāṭha as a sādhana that yields both dharmic prosperity and final liberation when aligned with devotion and discipline.
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
It teaches that Shiva’s grace fulfills both worldly well-being (trivarga beginning with dharma) and the highest end—certain liberation—showing a graded path where righteous living and devotion mature into release.
The verse highlights Shiva as the compassionate bestower of fruits; in Shaiva practice this is approached through Saguna worship—especially Linga devotion—where disciplined reverence and right conduct culminate in inner quiescence and liberation by His grace.
It points to the “Purāṇic path and yoga”: steady devotional discipline such as japa of Shiva’s names (including the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), worship of the Linga, and living dharma as the foundation for final liberation.
