FAQs

It teaches that the yogin’s progress toward Shiva (Pati) is supported by removing distractions—idle speech, restless movement, and instability of body-mind—and by practicing with measured steadiness, which aligns with Shaiva Siddhanta’s emphasis on disciplined sadhana to loosen pasha (bondage).

Steady, unhurried practice is the inner counterpart of external worship: as one circumambulates the Linga with devotion, the mind also ‘turns to the right’ toward Shiva—maintaining order, reverence, and continuity rather than rushing or neglecting the worship.

It points to regulated meditation with correct posture/alignment and a balanced rhythm of practice; paired with Shaiva sadhana, one may add japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and maintain restraint in speech and movement to stabilize concentration.
