Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: Liṅga-sthāpana with maṅgala-dhvani is framed as inviting Śiva’s presence (āveśa) and grace into the ritual space.
Type: rudram
Offering: dhupa
It emphasizes that approaching Śiva through the liṅga is done with śuddhi (ritual purity), maṅgala (auspiciousness), and bhakti—outer order and sacred symbolism supporting inner reverence for Pati (Śiva), the liberating Lord.
The liṅga is the accessible, saguna focus for worship: the devotee ‘brings and places’ it with auspicious recitations and offerings, using cloth and ritual implements to honor Śiva’s presence in a consecrated form.
A practical instruction for liṅga-pūjā: install/position the liṅga with maṅgala sounds (mantras, bells), then ceremonially adorn/arrange it with cloth and a kūrca (darbha tuft), maintaining a focused devotional mind.
